Using YubiKey for Security Key

What is a YubiKey?

A YubiKey is a device made by Yubico that is used as a physical MFA device for secure sign-in. Instead of receiving a code on your phone, you would connect a YubiKey to your device to authorize MFA sign-in.

Visit the website https://myaccount.microsoft.com/?ref=MeControl

2. Next, under security info > then UPDATE INFO

3. Add sign-in Method > click drop down then select Security Key > Next > Next > Next

4. Set Up MFA Log in again > continue > download the app go through steps and add your account.

5. Next go in and add the key again but you should see this

6. Select device then hit next (if you get an error don't be InPrivate mode) > next > next 

7. Enter security key pin this is important to remember

8. Hit next then name your security key and that should be all for setting that up.



9. How to use is you login website > Sign in options >  security key

10. Insert security key > Type PIN then it will log in
