A new level opens every Monday. Each level has short videos, games and interactive modules that take just a few minutes each. Finish a level to earn its badge. Finish all four levels by Friday, October 30 to earn your Power Up Your Protection certificate.

All campaign emails come from JC Solution Center (JCSolutionCenter@jccmi.edu). There are no meetings to attend. Everything happens by email and on the training site.

How to access the training

Important: The training site has its own password. It is not your JC (single sign-on) password, so your usual JC password won't work there. The first time you sign in, use Forgot your password? to create one.

Step 1: Sign in for the first time

  1. Open the link in your training email from JC Solution Center, or go to https://jacksoncollege.ws01-securityeducation.com/home/.
  2. On the sign-in page, click Forgot your password?
  3. Enter your JC email address and submit.
  4. Check your JC email for the password reset message. If you don't see it within a few minutes, check your Junk folder.
  5. Click the link in the reset email and create a password for the training site. Use a password you don't use anywhere else.
  6. Go back to the sign-in page and sign in with your JC email address and your new training-site password.

Step 2: Sign in after that

  1. Go to https://jacksoncollege.ws01-securityeducation.com/home/.
  2. Enter your JC email address and your training-site password.
  3. Forgot it? Click Forgot your password? again and follow the reset email.

Step 3: Find and complete your training

  1. After you sign in, you land on your Dashboard.
  2. Under My Assignments, select an activity to start it. A new level's activities appear each Monday.
  3. Watch each video or play each game to the end so it's marked complete.
  4. Check My Badges to see which level badges you've earned, and your score.
  5. Open Course History to see the training you've already finished.

Finish all four activities in a level to earn its badge. Earn all four badges by October 30 to receive your certificate.

Opt-in Phishing Derby

The Phishing Derby is a friendly, optional contest that runs October 8 to October 30. Players get a few extra practice phishing emails and earn points for reporting them with the Report Phish button. Employees and students have separate leaderboards.

Action Points
Report a practice (simulated) phishing email +10
Report it within 30 minutes +5 bonus
Report it within 2 hours +2 bonus (only the larger bonus counts)
Report a real phishing email +15
Report a legitimate email as phishing −5
  • Sign up by Tuesday, October 6 at 11:59 p.m. using the link in the Phishing Derby invite email from JC Solution Center.
  • Only reports made with the Report Phish button count. Forwarding an email or calling about it doesn't score.
  • Only your first report of each email counts.
  • Results are announced by email on Wednesday, November 4. Winners receive recognition and a Phishing Derby Champion certificate.
  • IT staff aren't eligible.

Spot it. Report it. Delete it.

Practice phishing emails may arrive during the campaign. Treat every suspicious message the same way:

  • Don't click links, open attachments or reply.
  • Check the sender's actual email address and hover over links before clicking.
  • Be wary of anything urgent, such as account lockouts, payroll or financial aid changes, gift card requests, or shared files you weren't expecting.
  • Report it with the Report Phish button, then delete it.

Clicked a link or entered your password? Change your JC password right away and contact the JC Solution Center.
