Signing into Yealink Teams Phone
Update* - Microsoft seems to be changing the login method, so the option to sign in on this device is not working in all cases like it used to. It is recommended to proceed with option 1. Option 1 requires less typing and requires less worry about the phone's touchscreen.
To Sign In:

- Follow Step 1, on your cell phone or computer, open up a web browser and type in the address bar and hit enter or go. (just copy and paste the below in your browser) https://microsoft.com/devicelogin
Your screen will look something like this:

- Look back at your phone and press “refresh code” to reveal a code.

- Your code will be different… enter it in the code box in the browser.
You will see a screen like the one below:

- Select your account. You may need to enter a code in an Authenticator App.
- You will see something like this below, hit continue.

Is Microsoft Authentication Broker safe?
Yes, the Microsoft Authentication Broker is a system component that manages sign-ins and tokens for Microsoft applications, helping provide a smooth Single Sign-On (SSO) experience. This is a trustworthy and required backend component.
- You will see a message like the one below. Your Teams phone will begin signing in...

- Next, navigate through the screen on your phone.

Note: You will have to sign back into the Teams phone whenever you update your password (the one you sign into your computer with)

Setting up and editing voicemail settings
- Tap your initials in the upper right corner of the screen.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Calling.

This can be done from the Teams app on your computer in a similar manner. You will get an mp3 emailed to you also when you have a voicemail. You also have the luxury of playing it on the phone.
TIPS
From the Teams phone or the Teams dialpad in the Teams app, you can reach almost every 4-digit extension. A few do not work due to various circumstances, but 4-digit dialing is now deeply baked into the environment. Here are a few key ones:
Entering 0 = this will call the JC Switchboard 517.787.0800
Dialing 911 = will alert JC Security for an emergency. Only do this when there is an applicable need.
Dialing 9 is NOT necessary to dial out to another number; 1 is also not needed, as Teams will automatically add it.
International calling will not work unless you have an international dialing plan. Only a select few at JC have this.
Unless you are signed in to the phone, it will not ring, nor will it let you make calls.
You can join only Teams meetings from the phone and listen and speak with audio, no video, as there is no camera on the phone.
The phone directory is in Employee Central, and a more up-to-date version is here.
